Good morning my friends. On Sundays I would like to get in the habit of only posting a single Bible verse and maybe we can discuss that verse a bit. It's going to be difficult for me, because I want to put out intel before the media has a chance to hear about it and spin it. However, we have a lot of posts that you can catch up on for the week and I think it's better to reflect on something comforting from God's word today. Thank you so much for being here. Even if you don't come from a background of faith, I hope you can still get some value out of what we're doing:
Today's verse comes from from Psalm 37:8
I chose it because I think there's a cry for justice from all of us right now. We often don't see justice in this world. However, God still holds justice in his hand and no evil that is done on earth escape s his knowledge. Furthermore, the wicked often spend their lives scheming and lying to cover it up. They often destroy their lives by their own doing. From our limited perspective, evil may seem to prosper, but it may inflict a terrible toll and an evildoer will never be satisfied. We need to make sure in our desire for justice that we don't give into anger or despair, but walk in righteousness.
